Plasma: this weapon is hard to use correctly because it takes so long to charge up and it only shoots straight. If you just shoot it, it will bounce back and forth until it hits something or it dissipates. Missile: just remember to wait until the target icon turns red, this means you have locked on to the opponent. Remember, the closer you are, the more damage the rockets do. Also if you get really close to an AI you can shoot them in the back and give them all 3 rockets. Rockets: these 3 rockets shoot straight and only go straight so if you are going on a turn and there are 3 AI ahead of you, you have a chance to hit all 3 of them. Shield: always use this, it can protect you and you can obtain another weapon while shield is in use. You can make shortcuts (more about this later)Ĭertain weapons need special use other than pressing square.
If you turn autopilot off in the menu, you don't have to follow the track perfectly like the AI. You can execute "Barrel Rolls" (more about this later)Ĥ. You can absorb weapons and restore healthģ. You are always slightly faster than the other vehicles if you get a good "Go Boost" (more about that later)Ģ. AI don't use weapons on each other, they save it for YOU.ġ. When a game is as smooth as this you feel more "one with the game" as if you were really driving, its almost reality. This makes the game ultra smooth, not to mention the graphics are insane to start with. 60 frames per second just means that 60 images can flash by within just 1 second. WipEout HD runs 60 frames per second which is faster than a hummingbird flapping it's wings at 52 times per second. The PS3 is an Xbox 360 on crack meaning it is the only console capable of a game like WipEout HD Fury. I will show you how all of these factors benefit your gameplay, even the custom soundtrack.
